The sidebar in the editor is the sidebar your readers get. Arrange it the way someone new to the project would want to read it.

Groups#

Groups are the section headings in the sidebar, like Writing on this site. Pages inside a group get its name in their URL:

/docspell/writing/organising-pages

Moving pages#

• Drag a page up or down to reorder it
• Drop it on a group header to move it into that group
• Drop it on the Pages header to bring it back to the top level
• Drop it on another page to nest it there, as deep as you need

Hover between two pages for a quick way to add a new one right there.

Links keep working#

DocSpell finds a page by the last part of its URL, so moving a page to another group doesn't break links people already shared.
