Refund Policy
We want you to pay for DocSpell because it's useful, not because you forgot to cancel. Here's how cancelling and refunds work.
Cancel any time
You can cancel a paid plan whenever you like from Settings, Billing. Nothing is charged after that. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Your docs stay where they are.
14-day refund on a new subscription
If you upgrade and it's not for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. That applies to monthly and yearly plans.
Yearly renewals
If a yearly plan renews and you meant to cancel, email us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we'll refund it, as long as you haven't used the paid features since it renewed.
What isn't refunded
- Monthly renewals after the first payment. Cancel before the next one instead.
- Partial periods, for example cancelling halfway through a month.
- Accounts closed for breaking the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
If something went wrong on our side, like a double charge or a feature that didn't work as described, tell us. We'll sort it out whatever the rules above say.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with, through Stripe. They usually show up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
Your legal rights
This policy adds to any rights you have under consumer law where you live. It doesn't take any of them away.
Ask for a refund
Email hello@docspell.devfrom the address on your account and tell us which charge it's about. We reply within two business days.
